Garrards Transport Ltd vehicles are specifically designed for the movement of high-value delicate items. All items are secured within each vehicle using the inbuilt cargo restraint system. In addition to this, floor protection plates and specialised handling equipment such as stair walkers, power barrows and scoots are carried as standard on all our vehicles. Blankets and protective wrapping are also provided when required, which are essential for the safe transportation and installation of large and heavy machines, high-value medical equipment and delicate fine art.
We have air ride vehicles, and heated body vehicles are available on request.
All of our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking and mobile communications, as well as high specification alarm and theft protection devices.
We have tail lifts ranging from 500kgs to 3000kgs capacity.
All of our vehicles are maintained on a fleet maintenance contract to conform to legal regulation and licensing by the Vehicle Operator and Services Agency (VOSA).
They are all compliant for travelling within the London emission zones.
All drivers and crew are fully trained and experienced in the relocation of heavy and fragile items and health and safety procedures. They have all undergone training in specialist equipment, and safety and manual handling.
Our trained drivers are qualified to carry goods Classes 2 to 9 of the ADR* throughout the UK and Europe.
We run on Road Haulage Association (RHA) conditions of carriage and storage and can supply copies of them upon request.
Our forklift trucks are driven by trained staff for the safe movement of goods.
We can offer added all-risks insurance through our broker upon request.
